Making old and low-resolution sources releasable

Documentary lives on archival, and archival arrives compromised: interlaced broadcast masters, VHS dubs, heavily compressed web rips, dirty and unsteady film scans. The goal is never to make 1972 look like it was shot last week. It is to remove the damage that distracts while leaving the texture that dates the material honestly.
