Print Traffic Consulting

Getting the right file to the right room on the right night

A booking is not real until the file plays. Between the master and the projector sit encrypted keys tied to specific servers and specific dates, venues with their own quirks and their own formats, drives in transit, and a schedule that does not move. Print traffic is the job of making sure none of that becomes the filmmaker’s problem on opening night.

What’s included

  • DCP replication, shipping, and delivery tracking
  • KDM generation, scheduling, and renewal
  • Venue technical specs and format confirmation
  • Festival and theatrical booking deliverables
  • Screener and press link distribution
  • Pre-screening playback verification
  • Chain of custody and asset return
  • Version control across a booking run

How a run is managed

  1. 01

    Map the run

Every booking, venue, format, and date in one place before the first shipment — including which venues need something unusual.

  2. 02

    Build the assets

DCPs and versions authored and validated per venue spec, so a format surprise surfaces here rather than at the theatre.

  3. 03

    Key and ship

KDMs cut to the right server and the right window, drives shipped or delivered electronically, everything tracked.

  4. 04

    Confirm playback

Verification with the venue ahead of doors, so a dead key is found while there is still time to cut a new one.
